With face masks being a reality in our daily lives, I found myself trying to figure out what to do with my face mask when I was out and about, and it wasn’t in use. For example, when you need to wear it inside stores, but not while walking around outside. Surely you could put it in your purse, but I am not always carrying a purse – nor do I want it sitting in the bottom of my purse with all of the other junk that gets collected there. Wanting to solve this problem, I came up with two separate ideas. I figured if it solved the problem for me, maybe it will be helpful to share because it could solve the problem for you too with these simple ideas.
Option #1: Face Mask turned Bracelet
Got a paper clip?
Then you are in luck. In less than one minute you can wrap your face mask around your wrist and have not only a cute fabric ‘bracelet’, but a nice easy way to keep your face mask on you and ready for use.
Step 1: Clip paper clip to one side of the elastic.
Step 2: Wrap mask around wrist and pull paper clip through other loop.
Step 3: Bring both elastic to the front, and clip the paper clip through the other elastic.
It is truly that simple, and there you go – bringing back the Cullen leather bracelet look of the 2000’s. Just much cuter and with brighter fabric.
Option #2: Clip to the neckline of your shirt
Use a binder clip, or sew a button on your shoulder seam!
Once again, couldn’t be simpler. And it has to be better than letting the mask simply dangle from your ear. Of course if your mask has ties, all you need to do is pull it down and wear like a necklace. But for the masks with elastic loops, these are nice options.
Hope this helps!
Thanks so much, and stay safe, stay healthy, stay in love.
