Custom Bike Coozie

MAKE THESE: Custom Bike coozies

For anniversary presents, I am always trying to think outside the box. Most of the time, I try to give ‘experiences’ – things we can do together to make memories in lieu of a gift. But this past year, I opted to do both. A small token gift, to match with the biking date nights that my husband and I like to do together so often.

Enter – the custom bike cup holder. These bike coozies are super cute – and make our date nights that much more special :). We get to bike together down the boardwalk, with our little matching Mr. & Mrs. bike cup holders – and feel totally adorable. Lol, well, at least I do.

And I have to admit – everyone seemed to love them. The amount of people that stopped us to ask about them, or pointed them out as we were biking along, was truly incredible. So if anyone wants to start a small Etsy shop selling custom bike coozies, I daresay you will have a nice little stream of income. They make the perfect anniversary or wedding gift!

Please note, this post contains Amazon affiliate links.  Affiliate links take no additional money out of your pocket, but rather the company pays me a small percentage of your final purchase.  Affiliate sales help fund bloggers work, giving us a paycheck for our time and effort, which ultimately helps to keep our website running smoothly. I will always try my hardest to give my unbiased opinion on all products, and not let affiliate sales influence my opinion. (If I don’t like it, I don’t post about it.) I appreciate your understanding and support.

How to make a custom bike coozie

  • Skill level: Beginner
  • Time needed: 15 minutes

MATERIALS:

  • Bike cup holder, HERE
  • Vinyl adhesive, HERE
  • Cutting machine, HERE
  • -or- Xacto knife

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Clean bike coozie with soap and water. Dry fully.
  2. Using your cutting machine software, create the text you wish to use (Mr. & Mrs., or other). Send to print / cut on the cutting machine.
  3. -or- Trace your letters directly onto the back of the vinyl adhesive, making sure to mirror the text. Carefully cut the text our of the adhesive using scissors and/or an Xacto knife.
  4. Remove the paper back from the vinyl, and stick the text onto your bike coozie where desired. Text can be repositioned if necessary. Once in place, smooth out the vinyl removing any bubbles.

And you are finished! We love our bike cup holders, and fully plan on enjoying them all Summer long.
