Love sewing?
I’ve rounded up 5 things that I am loving right now, all very drool worthy.
…
(some affiliate links below)
- Unicorn scissors – it’s a pair of unicorn scissors y’all!!!
- Handheld Garment Steamer – because some fabrics need extra special care.
- Bernina 350 Cotton + Steel edition – *swoon.
- Heat activated Secura button thread – once you are done sewing on your button, simply iron and watch the thread bond to itself! No more loose threads or pulling!
- Heat n Bond Soft Stretch – this stuff is amazing. I use it for all of my knit sewing projects now. Bye bye wonky hem lines!
What are you crushing on lately?
Thanks so much for stopping by, and until next time…
Happy sewing!
Hi Jessica!
Those unicorn scissors are amazing. I have a similar pair, except it’s a crane (the scissor blades are its beak).
I’ve never seen that heat-activated button thread before. You said you iron it, and the packaging looks like its says steaming. Would either work? And do you have apply heat to both sides of the button (well, front and then other side of the garment)? Sorry for all the questions haha. I’ll have to look for an opportunity to use that!

I seem to be an older version of you, including body moles! I knit, sew, Quilt, cook and bake. I graduated motherhood and am getting my degree in grandpa renting. I found my way to your site because of your sports bra pattern. I think it’s great and I plan to make it as soon as I get Fabric and figure out HOW to print the instructions!?!?
I guess this is the first BLOG I’ve gone to and it has taken me a while to find a spot where I could “talk” to you. Please help me out with my printing problem. Had no trouble with the pattern pieces, just the instructions.
PS. I ❤️ the unicorn scizzors!
DAMN autocorrect, I corrected it twice. I am NOT grandpa renting! I am grandparenting.
Yes to the garment steamer and unicorn scissors! They make life easier when sewing for sure!
Side note: so funny, I also have the middle initial R, and once upon a time dated a guy with the last name of Abbott too! So funny! Never did I realize until I read your bio that I would have been a Rabbit too! 🙂
