Ok, I am totally geeking out over today’s post! It is a NO SEW MAXI DRESS!!! I was sitting in my sewing studio playing with some knit fabric when I started wrapping it around myself. Yes, its kind of like a toga…but it’s like the cutest, most awesome toga EVER!!! You would seriously never know that this dress is simply a piece of knit fabric tied around yourself. It looks stunning on, and hugs in all the right places for a gorgeous, yet comfortable dress to wear on a hot Summer night. The best part? You can totally re-use the fabric when you are done to make something new with it. Talk about a WIN/WIN.
Leave the dress on your shoulder for a one-shoulder look, or pull it down and off the shoulders for a more bohemian style. All you need is 1.5 yards of stretchy knit fabric (think Jersey), and about 2 minutes of your time.

Happy sewing!
Very pretty! Has the Indian sari vibe. You look great.
YES! I have a couple of yards of knit I’ve been trying to think of something to do with. I think the Queen and Princess are going to have new dresses today 😉
I love your classy styles and will be making quite a few of what I see on Monday! I am wanting to see more warm maxi dresses due to cold winters soon upon us. Your maxi dress in grey is one perfect example of this. I have found if I wear leggings under, it is warmer than pants, so thank you for your ideas.
