Wow, what a December.
Between the Grinch play, dressing the girl’s up like princesses and surprising them with the ballet, the traditional Christmas lights at the beach, and more…we have had quite the month. But nothing compares to the time we have spent with family and friends, and the making of handmade gifts to give to loved ones.
As we start to wind down here for Christmas, taking a good week off to be with family, I wanted to share one last family tradition with you. Sure, we love to do our Christmas Eve jammies. But growing up in NYC we had another tradition, one we are missing this year. Seeing the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
Wait for it….
Woot woot! I know seeing the show live is something most people cannot do. But for those of you who wish to see the splendor of the Rockettes, and my all time favorite – the living Nativity, you can now watch the Radio City Christmas Show on Netflix. It is pretty amazing, my girls and I watched it together the other day on the iPad as we were spending girl time together curling our hair and what not. It made me feel like I did not miss out on my tradition, but rather was blessed to still be able to see it in the comfort of my own home.
So even if it becomes just background TV for you as you cook the big meal, I highly recommend it. Your mouth will be agape as you see the living nativity scene, and of course the world famous rockettes.
So from my family to yours, Christmas sweaters with antlers and all, we just want to wish you a simple MERRY CHRISTMAS. May yours be filled with happiness, joy, rest, peace, and the kind of laughter that makes you cry.
Until next time…
