Being a part of the Grinch play this year at our church has had me immersed in fun and funky Christmas colors. It really helped me think outside the box from the normal red and green, which honestly – is something I would have absolutely BALKED at before. Instead, it has been a lot of fun to look at Christmas in a more colorful way!
Christmas Color Palettes.
Bold, bright, and colorful Christmas color palettes.
Even if you simply cannot bring yourself to decorate in anything other than red and green, or white, silver, and gold – you have to admit…these are kind of fun to look at!
Would you ever decorating for Christmas outside of the ‘normal’ Christmas colors?
Thanks so much for stopping by, and until next time…
Happy sewing!
Yes, with your encouragement and ideas. Others wise, for me, it would look like a hot mess! 😉
I love all the ideas you put together.
For the last few years I have been doing creme and silver, building my collection. This year my sister, who always thinks out of the box, said she was going traditional with gold, red and green. I decided to borrow her collection of blue decorations. It’s amazing what a completely different feel my place has.
When I moved from VA to CA, I decided to go Cali glam style with a white tree to display my vintage glass ornaments. Trees were multicolored until recently. Last year I used gold silver adding German straw ornaments and jazzed it all up with red beaded garland. This year I have fuchsia/pink with turquoise and kiwi much like your bold tree above. I love the non traditional tree colors! Thanks for the suggestions. It takes years of collecting, lots of $$, or a great DIY imagination to have such choices.
