If you are anything like me – then you currently have a stack of presents hidden somewhere that you will madly wrap in one crazy session…vowing to never let them pile up like that again. NEXT YEAR you will be on top of it. AMIRIGHT?!!! Lol
Ok, but sometimes…every now and then…I like to do something truly special for my gift recipient. I want them to feel special and loved and all warm and gooey and fuzzy when they open up my present. I want them to know that I not only took my time picking out the perfect gift, but I also took my time wrapping it. That they were thought of, prayed over, and special in my eyes. For those moments when you have a few extra minutes to spare to go the extra mile…here are some ideas.
3 Ways to Customize your Christmas Wrapping.
CUSTOM STAMPED WRAPPING PAPER
How to create a personalized stamp from an eraser.
- Carving tools (affiliate link)
Step One – Trace your block name BACKWARDS using a pen directly onto the eraser.
Step Two – Using the carving tools, carefully carve around your sketched name.
Step Three – Press the stamp bottom firmly onto the ink pad, and stamp directly onto craft paper or other wrapping paper.
Simply slip a photo of your loved one underneath the ribbon in lieu of a tag! With the world being so digitally photo oriented now, this is like a present on top of a present!
CUSTOM NAME TAG
Using cardstock, cut out their name for a truly personalized name tag!
- String / Ribbon
Step One – Trace your block name directly onto the cardstock.
Step Two – Cut around using scissors. If needed, use a pair of smaller scissors to get inside the letters to cut out the centers. (A silhouette cameo also works great for this kind of project!)
Step Three – Punch a hole through one side of the name, and slip string or ribbon through to make the tag.
And there you have it!
