While waiting for my kids in the library, I found myself flipping through some fashion magazines. My eyes kept being drawn to these gorgeous camel / beige / nude colored long vests. The neutral colored vests were everywhere, paired with either plaid pants or jeans and a gorgeous bag to match. I was in love.
But then it hit me. You see, the more I looked at the style, the more I realized that this was totally something I could make rather easily. After a little digging around on the web, I found what I was looking for.
Threads Magazine Circle Vest DIY.
Make this Look: Long Circle Vest.
MATERIALS:
- 2 yds wool fabric or fashion felt
- Bias tape
- Basic sewing essentials
HOW TO:
Click HERE for instructions at Threads Magazine.
DIY ALTERATION:
Simply add length, and cut out an OVAL, rather than a circle. The oval length should be your desired overall vest length + collar length. Based on your desired folding collar length, cut the armholes and add bias tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and until next time…
Happy Sewing!
