For more complicated shapes, you can stick your duck tape to a cutting mat and go around with rotary cutters. Simply peel away the shape when finished!
Step Two: Apply duck tape shapes to backpack and smooth out any wrinkles.
For more complicated shapes, like ears, see below…
*Please note, you will need parental guidance for these steps.
Step Three: Cut out shape from sturdy cardboard.
Step Four: Wrap shape with duck tape, covering the cardboard FULLY.
Step Five: Using your seam rippers, gently unpick a few seam stitches in the area you want your shape to stick up.
Step Six: Stick the bottom of your shape inside the now-open seam, and sew closed using a heavy duty sewing needle (such as 100/16 regular point). Repeat for additional shapes.
And you are finished!
