Thank you for this really cool pattern, I have been scared to try clothing, but this looks like a great project to dive in and try it. Plus, I need like a whole bunch of these for summer. Do you reccommend fabric and needle types in the pattern?
Darling! I can’t wait to make mine, thanks for the freebie. I can’t help but giggle at the banana photo bomb. Hehe.
I AM DYING LAUGHING Genevieve!! I had not seen the banana until you pointed it out!!! OMG – that is so hysterical!!! Lol – thanks for pointing it out!
THis is so wonderfully beachy!
Un tout grand merci!!! (from Belgium)
It looks so comfortable, I’m sure I’ll have to make one for my sister too!!!
This looks so cute! Can I make this in a woven??
I cannot rave about this pattern enough! I have easily spent $75+ and countless hours trying unsuccessfully to achieve this look with other patterns. I downloaded this pattern last night and made this dress as soon as I got home from work today. I even drafted long sleeves to fit the pattern. It was easy to make, it is SO FLATTERING and comfortable. I have already picked three fabrics out of my stash to make more trapeze tank dresses tomorrow, and I am hoping to make one in a knit plaid with a cowl neck and long sleeves sometime next week. Thank you Jess! You rock!
Hi Love the look of this awesome Trapeze tank dress. Unfortunately I can only wear woven cotton. Ive downloaded it and will make it for my mum. Thanks again.
How do we download and print a pattern? Is it printed on regular paper to tape together?
Jess do you reckon this dress has enough fullness to cut as a maxi?
Definitely!!
I have been searching for this as a finished product unsuccessfully for a long time.
I own three that are at least 15 years old. I wear them all summer, ( around the house, they are so worn out).
I used sew my entire wardrobe as a teenager, taught sewing by a loving mother. It’s now time to start up again.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this pattern.
What a fun and easy little project. I played with the fabric and used cotton, looked up on YouTube how to make bias, and finished over the weekend. It’s a cute little lounge dress for around the house. Love it! Thank you for generously sharing your pattern.
Lovely pattern thank you. I have used this pattern to make a lined dress as the fabric was a little too sheer. I straighten the flare in the lining so it just skimmed my hips then lengthen the outer fabric to mid calf. The only thing I would change would be to make the straps slightly wider, it was a struggle to turn the dress out through the narrow straps.
I love the finished result, a dress for all ocassions
I’m so happy I found this pattern. You know, it’S a great summer dress, but also, several years ago, I had a black velvet jumper like this and it was so versatile. I think I’ll make myself one for next fall too. Thank you!
I’m excite d to give this beautiful design a try. Getting ready for the long awaited summer! Thanks for your great contribution to my wardrobe!
I made two of these 2 years ago and hacked to make breastfeeding friendly. Getting ready to make a few more for the same purpose. Thank you for this pattern!
Thank you for the free pattern. Very much appreciated.

Hi Jess! Thank you for the free pattern. What type of fabric did you use for your dress in the photos? I just started sewing this January, so I’m still trying to learn the different fabrics lol!
