My eyes are itchy and there is yellow pollen covering every surface, which means spring must be here! I’m eager to dive into my breezy fabric stash, so I’ve been collecting a list of patterns to sew for spring. Being the generous person I am, I decided to share it with you, too. 😉
12 MUST-SEW SPRING PATTERNS FOR WOMEN.
Inari Crop Tee – Named
I know, I know. The crop top is a tricky look to execute well. But look how cute! With the right fabric and the right pencil skirt this crop is perfection. Oh, and can someone show me how to do that winged eyeliner thing? I never get it right. Get the pattern here.
Midi Culottes – Burda
I’m obsessed with these culottes. I bought the pattern and bought vaguely animal print fabric so I can copy these exact pants. Nothing says breezy spring day like culottes! (Now to find those shoes…) Get the pattern here.
Victoria Blazer – By Hand London
I’ve been searching for a cropped blazer I like for a while now, and this is the cutest one I’ve found! Wouldn’t it look so cute in pink seersucker? Get the pattern here.
Sutton Blouse – True Bias
Every spring wardrobe needs a flowy top, and this one is so flattering! I love the v neck, and how the width of the sleeves balances out the bottom. Get the pattern here.
Chardon Skirt – Deer and Doe
As you may know, I am a sucker for a full skirt. I have tons of simple elastic waist gathered skirts, but I want something more polished looking. Oh and the pockets! Deer and Doe, you had me at the pockets. Get the pattern here.
Loose Top – Me & Sew
Free pattern alert! This top is so dreamy. I love tank tops with movement! The tutorial is in Dutch, so just copy and paste it into Google Translate. Get the pattern here.
Alder Shirtdress – Grainline
This shirt dress looks so fun and flattering. At first I thought I wanted to make it with a dainty Liberty print, but how fun would a Hawaiian print be? Oh the possibilities! Get the pattern here.
The Babydoll – Stepford Seven
The 90s vibe of this tunic is so on trend! I have some yummy rayon challis that is perfect for The Babydoll. The Stepford Seven also comes with 6 other pattern options, and all are perfect for spring! Get the pattern here.
Myrtle – Colette Patterns
Talk about a gorgeous neckline! I love knit dresses for spring, and this one is stunning. Bonus: you don’t even have to wear a necklace. That neckline alone will draw all eyes to your collarbone. Get the pattern here.
Mississippi Avenue Dress – Sew House Seven
What a flattering shape! You really have to click through to see the other versions of the dress. GET IN MY CLOSET! Get the pattern here.
Basic. Dress – Cali Faye Collection
I just sewed up this pattern for Sew The Show and I’m in love. I’m totally obsessed with Sarah’s version above, as well as her general coolness. If I had endless supplies of fabric and time, my closet would be full of these dresses! Get the pattern here.
Anima Pant – Papercut Patterns
I have not sewn these pants yet but I have seen many versions around blogland and they are all fabulous. I love them because depending on the fabric they can be sweats or they can look polished. My wardrobe is full of polished clothes in disguise, AKA clothes that look nice but feel like pajamas. These will fit right in! Get the pattern here.
Which of these patterns would you make RIGHT NOW if you had the fabric? I have the culottes cut out and ready to go…wish me luck!
Thanks so much for stopping by, until next time…
Happy Sewing!
I think you’ve been reading my mind, because almost all of these patterns are on my wish list (I bought the Burda cullotes as well ;D). Great selection! Thanks!
Nice selection! The link to the Me&Sew pattern does not work – could you re-post it?

There’s a halfway taped together myrtle dress pattern on my kitchen peninsula right now. It’s my first attempt at a dress for me! At least, the first since I was 10.
I love the Mississippi Avenue Dress & Top! Can’t wait for warm weather!
