Easter Bunny Picture Frame

Looking for easy Easter decorating ideas?! Me too! I had an epiphany yesterday while looking at my transitional holiday decor home space. I started thinking about how I love to ‘wrap’ my picture frames for Christmas to look like presents…and suddenly a lightbulb went off. Why not turn my picture frame into an Easter Bunny?!! An Easter Bunny picture frame.

I already had everything I needed, and it only took me about 5 minutes to make. A super easy Easter decor craft DIY, that will make your kids ridiculously happy. How to turn your picture frame into an Easter Bunny.

Easter Bunny Picture Frame DIY.

MATERIALS:

  • Large framed picture already hanging on your wall
  • White wrapping paper (white seamless craft paper can be found at your local craft store)
  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Pink Pom
  • Black Sharpie Marker
  • Glue Gun / Hot Glue
  • Pink felt

HOW TO:

Step One: Remove your picture from the wall, and place it face down on top of your white wrapping paper. Cut paper all around the frame, so that it is about 4 – 5″ wider on each side.

Step Two: Tape the paper to the back side of your frame. Just as you would if you were wrapping a present. Just make sure your picture frame hooks or wire are still exposed!

Step Three: Using a black permanent marker or sharpie, draw your bunny whiskers. Feel free to include a mouth and eyes if desired!

Hot glue your pink pom to the frame in desired location for the bunny’s ‘nose’.

Step Four: Cut (2) identical white ‘ear’ shapes from the white wrapping paper. Cut (2) smaller inner ear shapes from the pink felt. Hot glue the pink felt ears to the inside of your white paper ears.

Step Five: Tape the ears to the top back of your picture frame, and you are finished!

Hang on the wall, step back, and enjoy watching your children’s faces when they see it hanging.

Happy Easter! Or as we said in my house growing up, BUONA PASQUA!
