You know that feeling you get when someone contacts you with something super cool, and you can’t wait to jump on board and find out more?! That is exactly what happened when Girl Charlee reached out to me to review their new product.
- SIX unique and exclusive knit fabrics
- TWELVE yards of total fabric
- ONE bag
- Available ONCE a month only
- And its a SURPRISE
THE KNIT FIX BAG.
*Please note, Girl Charlee sent me the knit fix bag to review. All opinions are 100% my own.
It’s like the best Christmas present for the person who loves sewing in your life (oh who am I kidding, for YOU!).
On the second Tuesday of every month, Girl Charlee will be selling their brand new Knit Fix bag. What is it you ask? It is a tote bag filled to the brim with gorgeous, unique knit fabrics – not available anywhere else. Six different fabrics, in 2 yard increments each – all for just $69.
The very first knit fix sale will start this Tuesday, December 9th – and is a first come, first serve basis.
And guess what? The fabrics you see in my pictures aren’t the only fabrics they have.
That’s right – each bundle is different! And you have no idea what you are going to get upon ordering. It is a total surprise. Which makes it all the more fun! Eek. Talk about the best ‘happy mail’ day EVER.
My soul is fed with needle and thread.
Here is the deliciousness that was in my bag…
Most of the fabrics I loved, as in…I couldn’t wait to make something for ME. One was more functional, as in…not my style, but this will make a cute T-Shirt or Skater Dress for the kids.
The type of knits in the bag varied. Some were heavier knits, and some were more lightweight. One has a sweater / ribbing feel to it – which is perfect for Winter. All had a fabulous color and finish to them, with fabulous stretch.
Answering your Girl Charlee fabric question from before:
I have worked with Girl Charlee fabrics once before, in my Pretty in Peplum Tour post HERE. After that post, I got a lot of questions from readers regarding the quality of the fabric and how it washed. Chloe has since worn that dress at least 10 times (every Sunday or other time we need to dress up, it is her new go-to dress) – and every time the dress goes straight into the washer / dryer. It still looks and feels great, the color is still vibrant, and there is no pilling whatsoever. I call that a total WIN.
I made a thing:
I received the bag just before I was set to go to New York to visit family for Thanksgiving. Naturally, I took one look at the awesome plaid fabric in my stash and decided I NEEDED a new pencil skirt in my life for the festivities. You may have seen the DIY post from yesterday, but just in case…the link is HERE.
The fabric stretches and fits beautifully. And I am sorely tempted to make more knit pencil skirts with every single fabric I received in the bag now. Lol – I won’t…but still. Tempting.
Do you love knits as much as I do? Do you have someone you need to buy an awesome sewing present for? Or do you need to give your husband a ‘hint’ as to what Santa should put under your Christmas tree?
This knit fix bag is AWESOME. If you have the money, and like a good surprise…
