Sometimes all you need is a simple pattern to get you going.
The simple blouse pattern by Jessica of Running with Scissors is exactly that. Classic lines with a fantastic fit, for stylish elegance. I had the chance to sew one up last week, with this gorgeous silky fabric that I purchased on sale at my local fabric store. I chose to sew the basic pattern, based on the fabric I ended up finding. But there are up to seven variations you can actually do with this pattern – and it also comes complete with step by step instructions for bust adjustment, sleeve adjustments, neckline, facing, lining and so much more! Jessica is amazing.
I had my husband snap a few photos of me the other morning before I brought the kids to school…
Isn’t he so good at getting the right photo?! We did this in under 10 minutes! That’s what 4+ years of blogging can do for you. It can teach your husband how to snap a good shot :).
I love the simple blouse pattern, and fully intent on making more of them. The ‘hexie’ block and that sweatshirt have me totally swooning.
