Become a Pattern Member This year we are doing things differently at the Sewing Rabbit, and I am so excited to announce our newest venture. You can now officially become a PATTERN MEMBER of the Sewing Rabbit. We have teamed up with some of our favorite pdf pattern designers around the web, and will be offering 3 patterns every month to all members.  Some of them will be exclusive, from the Sewing Rabbit Team personally. And others will be patterns that we already know and love by our favorite designers. All will be available to you as a Pattern Member.

Travel Toiletry Bag – comes in 3 different sizes, with 3 different finishing options

By being a pattern member, you will automatically receive 3 patterns at the beginning of each month.  We will talk about those patterns throughout the month, as we sew through them – and show off our creations together at the end! But one warning though – this will not be your typical, ‘pretty’ blog. This is where we will get REAL about sewing. Where we become friends and talk about our latest projects, and truly bond over our love for this timeless craft.

BecomeaMember2

For the month of March, we have the patterns:

  • Madeline Dress ePattern – Me Sew Crazy Pattern
  • Travel Toiletry Bag – a Sewing Rabbit Exclusive Pattern (seen above)
  • Knight Hoodie for Kids – by Charming Doodle

All of which are already there, and ready for download!!! (there will be no February patterns, as the month is practically over – but you can get your groove on for March now!)

For more information on how you can become a Pattern Member, click here.

I hope to see you there!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and until next time…

Happy Sewing!

It’s a great idea. I am still not sure whether I should participate or not. I had a look at the 3 patterns for March :
    – I LOVE the knight pattern, really, but there are no little boys in our family
    – I make lots of travel toiletery bags and I am not interested in a further pattern
    – and the Maddie Dress goes only until 6y : my daughter is wearing 7-8y and her cousins 12-14y.

It is clear that not all patterns are interesting for everyone, and it is OK if 1 out of 3 does not fit the needs, but I fear that it will be more, espacially sizing is an issue for me.

It is a hard balance for sure – but I will try to hit 3 different patterns each month to try to cover the entire spectrum! Part of the fun is the surprise, similar to a monthly club where you receive a new present each month by being a member!

But of course, not every pattern is going to fit every person’s needs.

That’s the great thing about sewing– you can change patterns and increase or decrease the size of clothing as you need it. Also, some boys things can be made into girls things–some girls may even want to be a superhero and they should be allowed to do that. Often times my 7 year old granddaughter does not want frilly pink things– she actually has batman pj’s.

I looked over the 3 patterns and while I love Love the hoodie pattern and even the dress (no girls) but fun to have a side project…the bags I feel are something I would be using as there have been many free tutorials on how to make simple zippered bags. Will the patterns include small quilt projects? As I see you covered the spectrum really well boy, girl and something useful to sew. I love the idea that everyone can choose from something. Will the patterns that are chosen have special blogs post by the pattern creators?

Thanks so much Angel! On occasion, I might be able to get the pattern creator to write a blog post about the pattern, but that might not be the ‘norm’. I never like to promise something, and not follow through :).

But I will definitely try to cover the spectrum each month!

I certainly plan to!!! But it might not be as frequent. Women’s clothing patterns in general have a much higher premium, as they should. But you know I am working it :).

I definitely have one definitely in the works, just not sure if it will be April or May by the time it is finished 🙂

The patterns included this month are fab!! just one question: what happens if we don’t have the time to make all 3 patterns?? dO we have to leave the “club” if it happens often??
    I would love to join.

I know, it isn’t like that at all Sophie!!! This is all about having fun with sewing. If you have time to make them – GREAT! If not, that is okay too. Life happens! I just know how much fun it is when you DO sew, to have a venue to share it with! Especially when everyone is working on similar projects, or have worked on a project. But there is certainly no pressure to MUST MAKE the pattern :).

I think it’s a great idea but I agree with some of the other comments. I may not actually make use of many of the patterns! Is there another way of doing the club so you can choose having one/two or three patterns a month so if you chose one pattern you are charged a lower fee compared to two patterns or full membership.

Love this idea. Do you have any links or suggestions on printing on a desk top printer on 8 X 11 paper? The regular paper is rather thick once taped together and folded. Is there a product that is a little thinner, but not tissue paper thin?
Sometimes I make another pattern from tissue paper from my printed and taped thicker one, but it is double/triple the work. I have 2 granddaughters who are size 6-9 months and 3T.

If you buy cheap paper, the quality is not so good, it’s much thinner, so that’s what I use.

I haven’t seen the Madeline Dress before, but I love how it works at the back. The three March patterns are very stylish. Just hoping they are just as stylish in the coming months.

    Oooh! it’s so exciting.
