Instructions:

  1. Using a ruler, cut around leather to form an angled ‘heart’ with straight edges.
  2. Cut heart into various geometric triangles and diamond pieces.
  3. Using a pen, match up the heart sides and mark dots along the corresponding edges where you want the jump rings to line up.
  4. Punch out holes where you marked using a leather hole puncher.
  5. Don’t forget to punch out 2 holes along the top of your heart points (for attaching the necklace later). You will now have this.
  6. Using your pliers, gently open up the jump ring.
  7. Use the jump rings to connect the leather pieces via the coordinating holes, and use the pliers to close.
  8. We will now attach the necklace chain.
  9. Attach a jump ring to the top of the heart point, to 1 end of the necklace chain.
  10. Repeat for the other side, and you are finished!

This is amazing! I bought supplies to make this yesterday and whipped out a Razorback (since I’m from Arkansas and I’m a HOG FAN!). It is adorable. I am going to post a picture of it soon on my blog.

Thank’s so much for this tutorial! I will be linking to this when I show off my makings!

Where did you get your leather hole punch? I keep looking for one but am afraid they are too large. Do you know what sizes this punches?
