Sewing Rabbit Team 2014 Search

TeamSearchDeadline

When we kicked off the Sewing Rabbit Team for 2013, I had no idea what was in store. The amazing group of ladies that came along beside me this past year have blessed me in so many ways, and I am truly thankful to have had the honor and privilege of working with them for the past year.  They have blown me away time and time again with their friendship, creativity, designs, and work ethic.  We truly became a ‘team’ behind the scenes, and I have learned so much from them. But like all good things, this too must come to an end. So as I pull out my kleenix in preparation of saying good-bye, it is time to start focusing on the positive of 2014…meeting a whole new group of awesome ladies (or gents!) to work with!!!

Search for the Sewing Rabbit Team 2014

One of the things I love doing is recognizing fantastic up and coming bloggers, and what better way to do this then to feature them here on a regular basis?! Become a contributor at The Sewing Rabbit and have your work featured to hundreds of thousands of viewers each month.

I am looking for:

  • A variety of fresh, modern day sewists with a new perspective on this timeless tradition.
  • Sewing can be for any item across the board – from home decor, children and baby toys / accessories, children’s apparel, women’s apparel and accessories, men, crafty sewing, techniques, even quilting. You name it, as long as you can sew it.
  • All different sewing skill levels are accepted.
  • Excellent photography skills – Part of creating a beautiful end product and presenting it on a blog, is the beauty of capturing the creation process and the photoshoot of your end result. This helps readers not only understand how to recreate the product, but also fall in love with you and want to come back for more.
  • You do not need to have a blog to apply! I understand that there are many incredible designers and seamstresses out there that don’t have the time to run their own blog, but may still have the desire to have their work recognized and be on a team. I will work with you to teach you what you need to know.

What will be expected:

  • 1 post each month, with tutorial included. As mentioned previously, this can be across the board as to what you feel like creating. Tutorial must not have been published previously elsewhere.
  • Ideas will be submitted prior to the month beginning, just to make sure no one is overlapping content from another creator on the team.
  • The terms of the agreement will run through the end of 2014.

What you will get in return:

  • Payment for each post.
  • Link back to your blog/shop/site on the Contributors page (this will boost your SEO).
  • An image at the end of each of your featured posts that will include a head shot, short bio, and social media buttons.
  • A page on SewSet that will include all of your tutorials and patterns from your blog for others to search. As part of the team, your SewSet page will also be linked in the Tutorials Menu on the Me Sew Crazy Blog.
  • Social Media promotion on all of your posts via the Sewing Rabbit channels (ie. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.).
  • Encouragement and Support as your become part of a team, where we can bounce ideas off of each other, talk things through, and grow together in a private Facebook group.
  • ‘Grow Your Blog’ talks in our Private Sewing Rabbit Team Facebook Group, where I attempt to spew knowledge.
  • Possibility of collaborating with various companies as part of the Sewing Rabbit Team in various promotions.

JointheTeam

How to apply:

Send an email to sewingrabbit{at}gmx{dot}com with “Sewing Rabbit 2014 Team” in the subject line. It should include the following info:

  • Name.
  • Links to all your pages (Blog, Etsy Shop, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, etc).
  • What type of sewing you do, if it is specific (genre, style, etc.).
  • Attach 3-4 images of your best creations.
  • A little about yourself (3-5 sentences).
  • Why you would like to be on the Sewing Rabbit team (this will guide me as to how I can best help you achieve your own personal goals as we work together).

Application Deadline is December 12th, 2013.

If you are chosen for the Sewing Rabbit Team, you will be notified by December 16, 2013. A team introduction post will be made in the beginning of 2014.

A BIG THANK YOU IN ADVANCE TO ALL WHO APPLY, AND I LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU!
