Looking for the perfect accessory to add a little sparkle to your wardrobe? Cat ears headbands are all over the place ever since Taylor Swift rocked one in her 21 music video, and Farrah of the Sewing Rabbit Team is here today showing off how you can make these awesome blinged out cat ears. She is not only sharing with you how she made this sparkly Cat Ears Headband, but she also included a pattern for the ears so you dont have to figure out how big or small they need to be!
Blinged Out Cat Ears Headband DIY
- Cat Ears Headband Pattern (download here)
- 5″x 6″ piece of stiff fabric – I used faux leather
- hot glue gun
- craft glue
- hand sewing needle & thread
- rhinestones or glitter
- scissors and pins
|1| cut out cat ears pattern piece |2| place ear flap under headband |3| fold ear flap closed around headband |4| pinching tightly, pin ear flap at base of headband |5| add glue – hot glue gun works TIP: try not to glue the ears to the headband, that way you can adjust the position of the ears on the band. |6| stitch ear flap at base of headband – this will help with the shape of the ears |7| add glue (craft glue, something appropriate for the fabric) & apply rhinestones. Let glue dry completely, then bling out the reverse side – you want to make a statement even when you’re walking away!
