Its always the little things, right?
Lindsay of The Cottage Mama is so good at the little things in sewing, the details. And her latest line of patterns attest to exactly that.
I had the chance to sew up her Daphne Wrap Dress and Top, and it was instant love. With the various options to incorporate any number of notions, I was truly able to make this pattern my own. And my daughter couldn’t be more thrilled with the results.
I chose to use a nice, soft twill tape instead of piping – as I liked the way I could incorporate it into the wrap ties. I simply lined up the placement of my wrap ties on the side with the twill tape on the bodice, so it would look like one continuous line.
And by using smaller buttons – I was able to make it a double button closure for each strap, rather than 1 large button. To be honest, this happened by chance as I was out of the larger button color I was originally looking for. But I still love the outcome.
The dress came together beautifully, and as always – I highly recommend Lindsay’s patterns. They are perfection.
(pssst….they come with cookie recipes too!)
Lindsay’s patterns are all available in classic paper patterns, or digital instant downloads. You can find them in her shop for purchase now.
