The next stop on the Girl’s Night Out Tour is coming, and this time we are hitting up Los Angeles!
With the LA Fabric District being a mecca for sewing blogger shopping, it was a natural choice for the Girl’s Night Out event. I am so excited to hang out with some of my favorite bloggers this weekend, to see old friends again and to make new ones!
There is something just so special when you get together with ladies who share the same passions as you, who understand your love for blogging, and who can talk on and on about their love for fabric and all things sewing. It just makes you feel like you have found your peeps.
A lot of hard work and planning goes into these events, and it most certainly wouldn’t be possible without the help of my fabulous Sponsors! They are such incredible forces within the sewing world, and their support for these events means the world to me. They encourage, provide, and promote these events above and beyond anything I can possibly do on my own – and I am so thankful. To be able to bless the women in attendance, women who enrich the sewing community with their knowledge, hard work, and personal touch is what is all about. Bringing these incredible sewing bloggers together in an intimate setting where they can bond over their love for sewing. Laughter abounds, ‘war’ stories are shared, people are blessed, and connections are made.
Be on the look out next week for an incredible giveaway so that you can get in on the fun too!
But wait, there is more! The timing couldn’t have been better for this GNO, as it coincided with an incredible Fabric Shopping Weekend that happens to be taking place!!!
This weekend about 20 of my sewing blogging peers will be getting together to do some shopping.
Dream come true – right?
We will be hitting up Los Angeles in style, and let me just tell you – I will be bringing an extra piece of luggage with me just so I can fill it up with fabric, fabric, and more fabric! Andrea of The Train to Crazy and Go To Patterns has been working hard to make this dream a reality for us, and we have all been counting down the days until this vacation work trip is here!
Just some of the fun places we may be visiting while in town include…
Michael Levine is a staple in the Los Angeles Fabric District. Between their main store, the upholstry fabric store and the Loft where you can buy fabric by the pound, you will always walk away with bags of fabric you can’t wait to use. Thankfully they have a great online store as well. Their online brand is lowpricefabric.com and you’ll love it.
Thank you to Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft for sponsoring Fabric Weekend 2013! Even in a fabric heaven like Los Angeles you still know you can find exactly what you need at Jo-Ann Fabric & Crafts. From apparel to quilting to home decor fabric, Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores is the nation’s largest specialty retailer of fabric and crafts, that offers an unmatched, under-one-roof selection.
Mood Fabrics has a new and improved store in Los Angeles that is sure to excite anyone interested in apparel fabric. So you’ve been watching the Project Runway people running through the store in New York? You no longer need to visit the Big Apple to get in on the fun, shop West Coast style. Their online store is also new and improved!
