K.I.D.S. – Sew Country Chick

I adore today’s guest, Justine from Sew Country Chick. Justine has a style that is all her own, and I love her for it. I know I can go to her blog and see something completely unique…

Living on a farm certainly must add to one’s sense of humor, and Justine manages to make it all look good. With a flair for vintage farm life, she can infuse style into just about anything. Whether it be channeling Coco Channel, french farm chic, sewing for herself, or just letting us know the latest and greatest in sewing style news from LA – she keeps us all on the edge of our seat.

Another thing I love about Justine is the fact that she sews for her local theater group. I was over the moon for her vintage circus looks…

With humor and style like that, I couldn’t wait to see what Justine and her children would create! So without further ado…

————————————————

I’m Justine from the Sew Country Chick Blog and am glad to be visiting Me Sew Crazy with my muse and daughter today!

But today it’s not about me. No, I am just the cog in the wheel of the inner machinations of the mind of my nine year old, Lily The Great.

She has been one of my muses and we have partnered in many fun projects together. She always has something to say! Lily could have made this herself, but she decided to let me have a go at it. Check out this skirt she made her little sister below.

So without further ado, The Kid Designer for today speaks!
” Hi! Some of you might know me as Lily, Sew Country Chick’s daughter but I am also known as Farmhouse Lily Marie 😉.

Well… it all started about 2 or 3 years ago when I had a blog named Little-Miss Sunshines Crafts I was doing pretty good but I just got a little bit bored and well, it was deleted……  🙁

But as many old people say, that defeat will turn into many victories! So about 2 months ago I started a new blog, Farmhouse Lily Marie and it’s been pretty good!

Except for the fact that my only follower is my mom……………..
Lately, I have been writing a lot about poetry. I am very inspired to be a writer so I thought poetry was a good start. William C. Williams, Robert Frost, and many other poets including me took a big part in that! I sew many things including, vintage barbie clothes, vintage madame alexander doll clothes, clothes for me,and cloths for my baby sister! So please visit my blog!

My mom asked me to design something for a popular blog Me Sew Crazy..So what do you think I said? YES! She said I should do something “Fallish” so I decided to make a fall colored poncho. I was very inspired by a scarf in a sewing book. My poncho is made up of wool and cashmere patchwork squares. My mom sewed it for me”
-LILY MARIE

If you would like to see how I made Lily’s design stop on by the old blog to check out our tutorial.
Thanks for having us, Jess! Jessica’s blog was one of my first blog crushes and it is so cool to be here. Jess, you are a big inspiration!
