LOL – Of course you do!
As a reader I had submitted an entry for the Leila and Ben pattern interpretation challenge, which I had created with a precious little girl named Rylie in mind. Imagine my surprise when I received an e-mail yesterday with professional photos of Rylie in my Leila and Ben spin off…
The absolutely incredibly talented photographer Tammy Horton, located in Los Angeles, captures the emotion of every photo shoot – taking you on a journey through her lens. The ones pictured above are to showcase the dress primarily, except for the last one which I simply couldn’t resist (I had to be shrewd otherwise her entire album would have been on my site – lol)! But taking a quick peak through her blog will show you just how talented she is. Every time I see a session of Rylie and her family, my heart always melts and I just wish I could reach across the country and hug her! I am honored and humbled to have been able to contribute to these beautiful pictures of love.
Furthermore, these pictures couldn’t have come at a more opportune time, as it segues into something I have been DYING to share with you…a SERIES being hosted here at Me Sew Crazy!
Learning how to create your own clothes all starts with one thing…patterns.
Until you have a good feel for how patterns work and how to put them together, it is very hard to create your own items. Patterns are the perfect building blocks for learning all of the essentials when it comes to sewing, the perfect teachers of new techniques, and sometimes the perfect catalyst for creating something new and unique of your own!
Just like when your favorite song on the radio has been remixed and you suddenly have a new version to know and love – we are doing it with Sewing Patterns! Taking a favorite of ours, and giving it the Remix :).
Starting May 16th, I will be hosting a 4 week long Series here at Me Sew Crazy called the Pattern Remix!
Some of our favorite bloggers out there will be stopping by to showcase some of their favorite sewing patterns, and how they changed them up, creating something new and unique!
I have to keep pinching myself to be sure I am not dreaming!!! So stay tuned, you won’t be disappointed!!!
And don’t forget to grab a button if you feel so inclined 🙂
