Not only does she regularly have new and exciting designs for little girls, but she sews for her little man as well! How cute are these kids…
Shauna, you honor me with your presence here today.
And not only that, but once again I am in love with what you created! Shall we?
Hello Me Sew Crazy readers! I am so excited about this fun series put together by Jessica! It’s always fun to see something re-done, re-worked, or maybe even just made better. So when Jessica invited me to play along I of course had to say yes right away. The hard part was deciding what pattern I was going to give new life to… I decided (after a lot of back and forth) to redo one of the first tutorials/patterns I ever shared. For the circle top. Being that it was one of my first posts, and I have learned A LOT since then it needed to be done anyway, and this challenge allowed me to make a few changes to what is still one of my favorite patterns for a little girls tunic.
One change I made is I added a pocket for some summer treasures… Like freshly picked lilacs.
I did only one button closure to give it an asymmetric look. I even met / defeated my life long nemesis the button hole and gave it a proper closure.
The top still has plenty of swing and movement (and comfort) for little girls to play in.
The cute summer top essential for any summer wardrobe…
You know so they can look cute while playing in a bucket of dirt…
Come stop by Shwin&Shwin for the full tutorial and downloadable pattern.
Thanks Jessica for hosting such a fabulous series I loved the challenge!
