When you simply must give a gift card, give it merrily!
I made one of these for myself a while back, needing a smaller wallet to fit inside my wristlet, while very short on time. To say it has come in use since then would be the understatement of the year! I use it as a gum holder (so those little metal scraps don’t get everywhere in my purse), as a business card holder, for extra tissue paper, to hold a few feminine staples, and what I originally made it for as a mini wallet when needed…this little pocket sized holder has become a staple in my purse.
When I was taking it out of my purse the other day it dawned on me, what a great way to give a gift card this holiday season!!! The project takes no time to whip up, is fully reversible, and adds that little special personalized something to the person receiving the gift card in your life! Have fun with it, use the inkjet printing on fabric method to customize your own To/From tag and hand sew it onto one of the sides, or custom embroider their name on the bottom corner! Then Christmas morning hang it on the Christmas Tree and let them try to find their present!
Every time the person pulls it out they will remember it was made with love, and it will last much longer then the gift card – trust me!

I love this idea! Super cute. I love having little wallets in my purse for bandaids for the kids!
This is a great idea… on the list for next year (I can’t even get into my sewing room right now!)
