We all have those days that stand out in our lives, days we will remember forever. Weddings, births, and other special occasions – whether happy or sad, that stay with us as a moment in our lives. My wedding was one of the happiest days of my life. Everything about it was just…magical. Which is probably why I love being invited to other people’s weddings so much. You get to share in their special day, while reliving and remembering your own throughout the event.
But not every wedding needs to break the bank. With the new era of DIY-all-the-things, I have seen some incredibly creative weddings over the years. Ways people have been able to cut back on budget, while not cutting back on meaning. Whether it is rustic, over-the-top, or cheap and cheerful – nothing can take away from you special day. Because if there is one thing I have learned, when it all falls away, what is left is you and your partner – standing at the alter – making a vow to one another for better or worse.
