Doing a little showcasing today, because I am pretty dang excited about my sidekick suitcase! I have had this pattern forever now, and had yet to sew one up. Then we went and shared it on the Pattern Member site for the month of May, which gave me the kick I needed to make one….and now I am in love.
The Sidekick Suitcase PDF Pattern
I decided to make the sidekick suitcase for my middle daughter Madeline. As you know, it was her birthday last week – and I knew this would make the perfect birthday present. Especially since we were going on an overnight trip to our local water park for her birthday party. Not to mention the fact that Maddy is one of those children that often likes to pack up all of her favorite toys and carry them around the house. So this pattern truly was ideal!
I learned so much from making this suitcase. I didn’t even know what some of the materials on the supply list were at first, but am so thankful for the knowledge Jodi of Sew Fearless gave me throughout this pattern. It has a super sturdy siding, and front and back thanks to the various plastics and stabilizers used. The instructions were clear and concise, while being presented in a fun comical way.
Maddy loved opening up her new present, especially when she unzipped it and saw the handmade Elsa dress inside (DIY coming soon at the DIY Network for that one). It was a great pattern to work with!
Or as part of the Pattern Membership site HERE, only available for a couple more days this May. Since we have 3 brand new patterns come June! Woo hoo!
As always, thanks so much for stopping by and until next time…
