Looking for a fun, ‘everyday wear’ pattern to whip up? Try the Seafarer Top by Sew Much Ado.
I love anything that falls under the category ‘comfortable and appealing’, the dolman top is exactly that. Paired with shorts, jeans, leggings, maxi skirts, circle skirts – the Dolman can hang with them all.
The fit is perfect. Hides the areas that need to be hidden and shows off your neck, and perhaps some shoulder action. Especially if you turn it into a V-Neck like I did. There was a fabulous tutorial earlier this week showing you how to convert regular neck patterns into a V-Neck.
The fabric used is a sweater knit I picked out of the scrap bins at Michael Levine Fabrics during LA Fabric Weekend. But this pattern works great with all types of knits. Jersey would probably be the best!
And the gorgeous necklace? That is from the awesome and incredible and lovely inside and out Sachiko of Tea Rose Home. I was catching up on blog reading when I noticed she had recently put some of her creations into her own Etsy shop. I snatched this bad boy up immediately. Love it! Keep making ’em Sachiko!!! It is truly lovely.
And there you have it – my every day Summer Style.
In other news, I am so excited to share a sneak peek with you of what I have been working on behind the scenes!!!
Until then, thanks so much for stopping by, and happy sewing!
