This past week we have been in New York visiting my hometown, hanging with family and friends, and of course enjoying the Big Apple. We’ve spent days at the pool, gone to Playland, had a few awesome meetings and fabric shopping trips into NYC, dined with friends, partied with glowsticks, met a few celebrities along the way, and we even got to spend an evening away just the two of us.
Photo collage overload…
I love coming home, I always get so nostalgic of where I have been in my life. My childhood memories, and what I have been through to get to where I am now. I get a glimpse of just how different my life would be right now if we lived here. I can picture dropping my kids off at my parents as I head into the city for work every day, I can picture working in the fabric district somewhere – doing something big and important. But then I come home and see my smiling kids faces, so happy to see me, and I know all is right in the world. I already am doing something big and important, I am doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing, with the most important people in my life.
And as with all things, it is time to carry on.
May your past be the sound of your feet upon the ground. Carry On.
Loving that song lately, I like to sing it really loud in the car when it comes on. Thanks so much for stopping by, see you next week back in Virginia! Until then…
