My daughter has a thing for foreign languages. Maybe it was because we lived abroad for the first 3 years of her life, she is simply fascinated by them. She loves to know how to say things in different languages, and will even go so far as to make up her own words and ask us what she could have possibly said in any other language. The game goes a little something like this, she will say ‘heeeurfuntsh’…and Greg and I look at each other and reply ‘ummmm, Rhino in Finnish?’ – Ha!
Either way, we have fun with it. Which is what led me to make these French Days of the Week T-Shirts…
Parfait! Neon, metallic, days of the week apparel, and French – all rolled into one. You cannot get more perfect than that! Lol
I used the same DIY for these shirts that I did for my burlap and metallic tote bag tutorial. The metallic foil is a simple iron-on adhesive that you use just like any other applique. I simply did a Google Search for ‘iron-on metallic foil’ and amazon produced some great products. (Not an affiliate link, simply what I used after looking around).
My favorite Chloe foreign language story was when Chloe was 3, and we were still living in Germany. She stood up one day and told me firmly that she wanted to visit Kentucky, where people spoke Kentuckian. Kids are great.
Joyeux Mercredi tout le monde!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and until next time…Happy Sewing!
